Gitmo, Vacationland of the Caribbean

Every time I think I have heard of everything something comes along to jolt me. I have just came across an article from "Empire Burlesque" entitled "Fun in the Sun: Gitmo Gets Makeover as R&R Resort." Here is the URL:

They have actually set up a resort next to the gulag at Guantanamo Bay holding the mostly unfortunate humans, some of whom were sold to the U.S. Military for a bounty. Here is a quote:

"You can pick up one of these sparkly items for the kids? along with stuffed iguanas, decorated coffee mugs ("Kisses from Guantanamo Bay!"), snazzy keyrings ("It don't GITMO better than this!") and all manner of bric-a-brac from the sun-drenched heaven that bills itself as "Taliban Towers, the Caribbean's Newest 5-star Resort." Yes, the Pentagon has turned the Terror War concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay into a luxurious vacation spot for military personnel and their families? and military contractors, too, of course!"

This has to be the most insulting thing I have ever heard a government of any ilk do. It is tantamount to the Third Reich advertising, "Come to Auschwitz,
Vacationland of the North."

Here we have, for all intents and purposes, a concentration camp under whose auspices the rule of Constitutional Law has been abrogated in the name of paranoia, fear and suspicion by the illegitimate heir to what he considers the Presidential Throne making light of human suffering. This is my America trivializing the Constitution that now resides in a toilet in the White House. My mind had trouble comprehending what I was reading.

Nature abhors an imbalance. When there is an imbalance there will always be a correction. The larger the imbalance the greater the correction. Society operates the same way; i.e. the American and Russian revolutions. We have had a dark and threatening imbalance in this country for eight years. The American people are patient but their patience is quickly running out. When "We the People" finally awaken the correction will be tantamount to a final solution. There will be blood in the streets. Make no mistake!

The next thing on my list of what will happen is that the Bushites will concoct an emergency just before the elections that will be an excuse to cancel the elections in the name of national security. Then we will have the neo-conservatives/Christian Right wet dream; a coup d'état.

The first thing most people will say is, "Nah, it can't happen here." Well, it has been happening for the last thirty years starting with Reagan. Hold onto you seats folks 'cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Sadly, Wallace
